S: Exodus 40:33 NIV- Then Moses set up the courtyard around the tabernacle and altar and put up the curtain at the entrance to the courtyard. And so Moses finished the work.
O: After the skilled craftsman finished creating all of the extremely detailed elements for the tabernacle, Moses was given the responsibility to put everything together as God commanded. In Exodus 40:16 it says, "Moses did everything just as The Lord commanded him. After Moses begun the work of setting up the tabernacle we see the phrase, "as The Lord commanded him" repeated 12 times until finally in verse 33 it says, "And so Moses Finished the work."
A: It's always important to finish what you start. I appreciate the work ethic and leadership of Moses, because not only did he understand the power of delegation, but he understood the value of getting his own hands dirty to complete a task. It's important to note that his sole desire was not to just complete the task that God assigned to him, but to do it in the manner in which God assigned the task. It's easy to just try to get the job done and skip out on the details, but Moses was meticulous in the details because He understood that if God cared that much to be so detailed in His instruction, than it's probably not something that should be overlooked. Because Moses chose to be so detailed in executing the tasked at hand, he set the example for his people that Gods work must always be done with a spirit of excellence. Today as believers it's our duty to look at the task ahead, and do it with excellence that glorifies God. In the end, your willingness to pay attention to the little things, while accomplishing a task, will bring glory to God while causing you to stand out amongst the crowd.
P: God thank you for the position you have placed me in. Let me perform every task at hand with a spirit or excellence that glorifies You. Let my work, be and act of worship. Amen.
